Tracie Bosch

Hello! My name is Tracie Bosch, and I teach the 3s and 4s Spanish Introduction class. This is my second year at Congregational Preschool, and my 19th year of teaching. I grew up in Wisconsin Rapids and attended UW-L where I met my husband, Bill. We made La Crosse our home for several years. We then moved to Minnesota and lived in Apple Valley for 13 years. While living in MN, I obtained my master’s degree from Concordia- St. Paul, as well as a Culturally Responsive Teaching certification from St. Mary’s. I taught various grade levels from 1st-4th at Oak Ridge Elementary School of Leadership, Environmental, and Health Sciences in Eagan. In 2019, life’s adventures brought us back to La Crosse. Our family consists of two sport-loving middle school boys, Jackson (13) and Henry (11) and two Labrador retrievers.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with preschoolers. I love their curiosity, energy, and kind hearts. We spend many weeks at the beginning of the year building a classroom community to create a safe space for playing and learning, and we foster this all year long. Our daily schedule includes a morning meeting, which is a time to connect, move, and begin our day, as well as an hour-long playtime at various centers, story time, snack, and outside play. The students learn so much through play, and I love watching their social-emotional growth as they negotiate, problem solve, and learn to identify, name, and regulate their feelings and emotions. We work on fine motor skill development through play and focus on their names as a starting point to learning letters. Our monthly themes embrace student interests and strengths. They also provide an opportunity for students to see themselves in the characters of books, as well as learn about different perspectives and experiences. Along with Spanish words and phrases, we work on colors and numbers throughout the year.

I look forward to partnering with you as your child begins his/her school journey. Feel free to reach out with any questions you might have.
