Philosophy & Organization

Congregational Preschool's program is designed to meet the developmental needs of preschoolers.  It provides experiences that enhance each child's cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and creative development.  Young children learn best through "hands-on" experiences, and this approach is utilized on a daily basis.

Congregational Preschool is a non-profit, state licensed school, governed by an Executive Director and a Board of Directors chosen from the community, parents of students, and First Congregational Church.  It is, however, a non-sectarian school and all children are welcome.

All teachers at Congregational Preschool have earned Bachelor's Degrees in Early Childhood Education and/or Elementary Education.  Each teacher assistant is state certified in Early Childhood Education. We also offer a well equipped playroom as well as a well equipped playground.
